The math, made simple

How much does your life cost per day?

A daily cost of living calculator turns rent, food, transport and recurring bills into one understandable number. Add your regular spending above to see what an average calendar day costs.

Daily cost = total annual expenses ÷ 365

Monthly amounts are multiplied by 12; weekly amounts by 52. Your actual spending will vary from day to day. This is an annualized average, using a 365-day year.

Your questions, answered

How is the working-hours result calculated?

We divide monthly expenses by monthly take-home pay, then multiply by paid hours per workday. This allocates all your costs, including weekends, across your workdays. For example, expenses of 2,000 and take-home pay of 4,000 use half of an 8-hour day: 4 hours, or until 13:00 from a 09:00 start.

Are these all fixed costs?

No. Your total includes the fixed bills and variable spending you enter, such as food. Savings, debt payments and irregular purchases are only included if you add them.

Does changing currency convert my money?

No. The selector changes the currency label only. Enter every amount in the same currency; no exchange rates are applied.

Are my budget details saved?

No. The calculator does not send your entries to a server or save them in browser storage. Refreshing or leaving the page resets the figures. The hosting provider may process normal web request logs.
